10 tips for bad breath

Here are 10tips for curing bad
breath for good, and a tip for
recognizing if you have bad breath in
the first place.
How to Tell If You Have Bad Breath
The problem with curing bad breath
is that people who suffer from it
often don't realize it. Since bad
breath is mostly caused by bacteria
on the tongue, you can tell if you
have bad breath by licking the back
of your hand with your full tongue.
Wait three seconds, then smell your
hand. If it smells bad, you need to
take a look at these tips for curing
bad breath.
#1. Salt rinse or Lemon rinse
Curing bad breath with a salt rinse is
a very old cure that has passed from
generation to generation. The salt
will kill bacteria in your mouth and
help heal any gum disease. Just mix
1/2 tsp. of salt with half a cup of
warm water, stir well and rinse your
mouth with the solution before you
go to sleep. Do this for a few days
and you'll see that your gums look
more pink than red, and you have
cured your bad breath.
Curing bad breath with a lemon rinse
is another alternative, since the high
acidic content in lemon prevents the
growth of bacteria on the tongue and
gums. You can even create a mixture
of salt and lemon and rinse before
bedtime to cure bad breath.
#2. Baking Soda
Baking soda has been found very
effective in curing bad breath,
because the high acidity of baking
soda will prevent bacteria from
growing on your tongue. Therefore,
brush your teeth with a baking-soda
rich toothpaste, or just follow with
baking soda after your regular
toothpaste. You can also gargle with
baking soda dissolved in warm water.
#3. Chew on Mint Leaves and Sun
Flower Seeds
These two home remedies for curing
bad breath work on cleansing your
mouth and spreading a fresh scent
through it. Chew on sun flower seeds
after meals and drink water to help
cleanse your mouth and cure bad
breath that may linger due to odor
causing foods. And munch on mint
leaves to spread a fresh scent
through your mouth, which will prove
effective in curing bad breath in
consequence.
#4. Eat Probiotic Yogurt
Probiotics like acidophilus are very
effective in curing bad breath when
consumed regularly. Eating yogurt
rich in healthy bacteria will help in
curing bad breath completely with
time, so long as you keep consuming
probiotics to keep the population of
odor causing bacteria in check.
#5. Avoid Sugar
Refined sugar is especially bad for
your teeth and will result in cavities,
which in turn will result in bad
breath. One of the best tips for
curing bad breath is to avoid refined
sugars in cookies, candy, and even in
your coffee. Use brown sugar instead
and in small amounts as sugar will
also increase the dryness of your
mouth, which is a cause of bad
breath.
#6. Drink Water, Tea or Pineapple
Juice
Just as with anything else in life,
curing bad breath by drinking water
is easy and good for you. Water will
keep your stomach and tongue
hydrated and clean, preventing
bacteria buildup and curing bad
breath.
In addition, curing bad breath with
hot, unsweetened tea has been found
effective due to the antiseptic
properties of tea. While for its high
acidic content, Pineapple juice has
been found effective in curing bad
breath as well.
#7. Drink Fenugreek Tea
Fenugreek seeds ( methi seeds) have
been proven effective in curing bad
breath. Simmer 1 tsp. of seeds in 2
cups of water for a quarter of an
hour, then strain the tea and drink it
to cure bad breath.
#8. Prevent Constipation
Be sure to exercise regularly and eat
a high-fiber diet that will keep your
bowl movements regular and help in
curing bad breath caused by
constipation.
#9. Chew Cloves or Cardamom Seeds
Both cloves and cardamom seeds
have been found effective in curing
bad breath, especially if chewed after
meal times.
#10. Oral Hygiene
It may seem obvious, but curing bad
breath with proper oral hygiene is an
essential starting point. Be sure to
floss as well, which will assist in
curing bad breath due to gum
disease. And choose a toothpaste
that does not dry your mouth.

HOW TO DEAL WITH UNEB STRESS.

As the UNEB exams draw closer, from the pressure from your parents to the enormous notes from your teachers plus the countless hours you have to spend reading.. Well it's alot of stress!!!
But here are tips to help all the candidates out there to deal with stress.
1.TAKE TIME OFF.
Whether it's missing school for afew days or getting a passout to leave school, DO IT!! It does no good to study when you are completely drained. It's like pouring water in a bucket that's already full.. the water will overflow right??..
Take some time off and return later.
2.GO-OUTDOORS.
Play some physical games like football, rugby, basketball, tennis, bike riding, jogging, dancing, swimming, skipping or even walking.. (yuh walking is a game especially if you are with your buddies in the evening).. All the above will help you let go of some steam.. Especially jogging and skipping..
3.JOKE AROUND..
Joking helps light up your brain whenever your thoughts seem grey or when you have reached the peak of your brain. In otherwards stressed...
Watch some good Comedy on TV like the Crackers on NBS on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm. There is also some good stand up comedy all over YouTube like Kevin Hart..Pablo Live. You can also watch Ridiculousness, Pranked (shows on MTV). If not hang out with those funny friends of yours that wont fail to crack a laugh out of you!!
4.AVOID VIDEO GAMES.
I might receive mob hate from this..but sincerely video games will just add more stress on you,ok uhmm... you fail to take that Champions League trophy (FIFA 14) after playing consta for some 3 sleepless nights, that Splinter Cell-Double Agent, God Of War3 (let me not talk much about this game), uhmm. Assasins Creed Brotherhood.. well the list is endless but if you have played any of the above.. You definetely know what Am talking about especially the former..
Just avoid video games when you  are stressed.
5.LISTEN TO MUSIC.
Well don't listen.to hard rock or Heavy metal. You can listen to those genres of music on your phone. But I would recommend some classical music because it will help put your brain waves in place..(ever gotten that pain in the sides of your brain when reading.. Yeah.. that pain!! ) just listen to Mozart or Beethoven's pieces like the 5th Symphony.. You will feel refreshed ..TRUST ME!!

HOW TO PASS YOUR UNEB.

The UNEB exams are just around the corner. During this time, many candidates are pounded with tonnes of work and notes.
If a candidate is not well prepared, he can face great failure and shame all over. But with these simple tips, a candidate will not fail to excel in their UNEB exams.
1.PRAY TO GOD.
All success comes from the Almighty God. No one is successful unless through him. From the world's richest to the world's smartest, all these attribute their success from God. Just believe in Him and you will see miracles. Just BELIEVE.!!
2.READ READ!!
Am sure you hear this word every time you wake up. But indeed you have to read. I dont think you can just dive into a History paper unless you have been reading. Read all subjects equally because the results you will get in UCE will affect your admission into University. Imagine missing a University addmission by 0.3points because of that F9 in Biology which could have easily become a D1 if only you had read. DONT WAIT TO REGRET.
3.CUT WASTED TIME.
If you really want to excel in your UNEB, you really have to devote yourself but its just for afew months. So you should cut on the time you spend on facebook, texting, watching movies or playing Call of Duty BlackOps at least for these remaining few weeks. Imagine regretting to have gone for that party yet you could have read that History book and atleast got to know that Course or that kingdom organisation. Am sure many of your friends and relatives know that you  are a candidate so try not to let them down most especially let yourself down...A man once said "Play now, and pay later or Pay now and play later".
4.GET SOME REST AND ENOUGH SLEEP..
"All work and no play makes John a dull boy"..Well you should relax abit if you deep down know that you have been reading thoroughly. Try doing something that you enjoy to help you release some of the stress. Get a good night's sleep (7-9hours a day) however do not over sleep as this will create a state of laziness as you will feel extremely tired. It makes no good to prepare for an exam but then sleep halfway into the exam!!
5.EAT A BALANCED DIET.
Your brain needs rest and very good feeding. Eat foods such as vegetables, fish, Cereal, milk, fruits, and also fish oil. These foods provide the necessary nutrients that your brain needs to remember those complex math equations and physics formulae. Avoid deep fried foods, carbonated drinks like sodas, sugar enriched drinks, alcohol(at least for these few weeks!!!)
Do not smoke as this will destroy all your brain cells which will make it easier for your brain to forget that experiment in Biology.
6.ASK FOR HELP.
Many students during this time fear to ask about things that were taught in those lower classes in fear of being seen as not intelligent. But this is entirely wrong, you will get to know what you didnt know which will make you a step closer to being more intelligent. So do not be afraid to ask that so- called simple question.. Okay??
7.MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE "geeks"
They may not be very popular in school but they certainly know abit more when it comes to a particular subject. So make friends with them but do not use them as this may make them "spoon feed you poison". Be friends you never know, they might let you in on their secret of excelling throughout!!
8.ATTEND THE REMAINING LESSONS.
You might be covinced that the syllabus is done but a teacher might come in and kindly give you those notes he had told you to copy or add on on what he had given you back in first term. So don't miss that Golden lesson.
9. RESPECT YOUR TEACHERS.
Respect that teacher with spects who gives you "puni's" whenever he sees you. That teacher might end up taking you to the infamous D.C which has the power to discontinue any candidate for indiscipline in otherwards disqualify you from sitting UNEB that year or in simple terms you register the following year. So just swallow that beef  for that teacher.YUP!! THAT'S LIFE. FORGIVE BUT DO NOT FORGET..
10.BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
It does no good to read all the letters you have in your books and textbooks without believing in your self. Whenever you feel depressed or de-motivated.. just scavenge the internet for inspirational and motivational quotes. Am sure you will be able to bounce back.
Avoid negative energy and past results. They came, you received them now its time to move on and turn that  f9 into a D1.. Simply not by belief only but with persistence too.
Some people may want to put you down, others to step on you so that you remain down there.. but just believe in yourself that you can do it, you can make it. Your Will power is bigger than their negativity that spills out of their mouths.. aint that right??
..with the aboe tips.. if put into practice am sure you will not fail to excel  and ace your UNEB

Global Warming

I guess the term Global warming has become a common term within our vocabulary, but what if it weren't.. maybe Does anyone remember those peaceful days back then when Uganda perhaps the whole world was a perfect place to be and environmentally stable in ts of the Carbon dioxide  levels in the atmosphere? But now,Early mornings in Kampala especially are filled with Carbon dioxide emitted from Cars,Industries,And all sorts of burning fuel..I remember those Biology lessons where we were told the percentage of Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was 0.03% this increased some years back to 0.04%. Well it must be just a 0.01% increase but to the environment its just like the usual stock market prices increasing or decreasing by .2,in otherwards its catasttrophic!
Global warming by the way is just actually the planet being warmed up because heat from the sun is reflected back to the earth by the presence of a carbon dioxide layer just above the earth formed due to carbon dioxide emissions from different Carbon dioxide producing man made features. As a result there is increased water loss from water  bodies and plants due to the excessive heat. Condensation occurs forming rain clouds as a result there is heavy rainfall in areas which do not normally receive rainfall or it may rain during drought time in some areas causing floods just like as it was earlier this year in Kasese areas, and all this is just a percentage increase of 0.01%.. Well that is just how unstable nature is..
But there is a solution to Global warming, well i guess we have all heard of the plant more trees, use altenative sources of fuel stories Right?? But what if there is more than those old srories? What if we would use the biggest problem we have right here in Uganda? Here in Kampala City!! To reduce global warming!!! Well our rubbish is just a mess yet it is a source of bio gas, in otherwards Power! Just thhink of how many mega watts of green power Kitezi dumping site would generate a year? At the same time being  very cheap and environmentally friendly at the same time? Or how many kilo watts of power your own human waste from your home would generate a day? Instead of having to pay a heavy UMEME bill at the end of the month.#Just saying..
Well we could also ditch the cars that burn fuel how about owning a good mountain bike rather than the Range rover sport or the Audi Q7 or the BMW X6,  just saying.. With the   bike its cheap, no fuel cost, yet very healthy for you and the environment, helps keep you physically fit( I bet that does not come with the new Toyota VX) and lastly no traffic jam stress especially that Kamwokya to Nakawa Friday evening traffic jam!!
May be you could drive once or twice a week just when doing your home shopping or when there is that early morning beautiful rain sprinkle shower?
We could also recycle the usual plastics and polythene bags as we wait for the government to ban the manufacture of polythene.. Last but never least we should conserve.. We can not protect what we do not have, lets conserve our Kampala at least since the budget ws read recently at a little cost lower than salaries of many of us,
FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY!
