YOU ARE HELPING TO CHEAT YOURSELF
Recently I came across a very useful
tip. I was surprised to know it but
had a doubt so I talked to one of
the pump technicians and he too
accepted it as a fact. I think apart
from providing space for the gas
generated inside the petrol tank this
is yet another reason why we
shouldn't fill the tank to the brim.
Many of us are not aware that the
petrol kiosk pump has a return pipe-
line (in Pink). When the petrol tank
(in the car) reaches full level, there
is a mechanism to trigger off the
pump latch and at the same time a
return-valve is opened (at the top of
the pump station) to allow excess
petrol to flow back into the pump.
But the return petrol has already
pass through the meter, meaning
you are donating the petrol back to
the Oil Dealer.
Also only fill up your car or truck in
the early morning when the ground
temperature is still cold. Remember
that all service stations have their
storage tanks buried below ground.
The colder the ground the more
dense the petrol, when it gets
warmer petrol expands, so buying in
the afternoon or in the
evening....your liter is not exactly a
liter. In the petroleum business, the
specific gravity and the temperature
of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel,
ethanol and other petroleum
products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a
big deal for this business. But the
service stations do not have
temperature compensation at the
pumps.
When you're filling up do not
squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to
a fast mode If you look you will see
that the trigger has three (3) stages:
low, middle, and high. You should
be pumping on low mode, thereby
minimizing the vapours that are
created while you are pumping. All
hoses at the pump have a vapour
return. If you are pumping on the
fast rate, some of the liquid that
goes to your tank becomes vapour.
Those vapours are being sucked up
and back into the underground
storage tank so you're getting less
worth for your money.
One of the most important tips is to
fill up when your Petrol tank is HALF
FULL. The reason for this is the more
Petrol you have in your tank the less
air occupying its empty space. petrol
evaporates faster than you can
imagine. petrol storage tanks have
an internal floating roof. This roof
serves as zero clearance between the
Petrol and the atmosphere, so it
minimizes the evaporation. Unlike
service stations, here where I work,
every truck that we load is
temperature compensated so that
every litre is actually the exact
amount.
Another reminder, if there is a
petrol truck pumping into the
storage tanks when you stop to buy
Petrol, DO NOT fill up; most likely
the petrol is being stirred up as the
Petrol is being delivered, and you
might pick up some of the dirt that
normally settles on the bottom.
To have an impact, we need to reach
literally millions of Petrol buyers.
It's really simple to do.

LoVe your Neighbour..
Been reading some refugee stories from allover the Horn of Africa.. All these are so very sad.. For instance Eritrea.. Am not talking about their National Service or military training.. but the way Eritreans are treated by fellow Eritreans!!! I mean this is sooooo harsh and very inhumane. I know this is not news to many Eritreans.. but Its just sad.. for instance.. There was one I read about where a group went through the desert with little food and water.. and were in the desert for around 4 days.. driving day and night.. #nonStOp.. They saw skeletons of people who got stranded in the harsh desert.. I mean it was just horrible.. My point is that not only Eritrean refugees.. but all most all refugees here in Uganda.. are treated badly by we the Ugandans.. We look down upon them because they are refugees.. and they are in Uganda.. you know taking our food.. money begging and all that stuff.. its really bad and in the eyes of God.. its a sin.. Many of these refugees didnot want to be here where they are in the first place.. they didnot wish for anything close to even what they are going through.. They also had big plans for their future while still in their countries.. just like you and me! So instead of hating on them and judging them.. Why not help them. It might not necessarily mean giving them finacial aid (because am sure they do not want to be beggers), just love them.. socialize with them.. Learn about their culture, help them with directions around town make friend with them in otherwards!!.. Am sure that is much cheaper than you just tossing them money.. Treat them the same way you would treat your brothers and sisters(not necessarily fight with them like you do with your siblings).. You never know.. you might get a blessing in return from God!
PubliC Management Bill(whatever the name )
Been reading some Eritrean.stories from SIHA about their lives in Eritrea and outside Eritrea.. One artice was about a lady who was arrested with her friends for praying in a house together because it is against the law in Eritrea to host a gthering of morethan three people... which reminded me of the same trash sorry Bill or law that is about to be passed by our own Parliament.. I mean this is just freakin ridiculous.. So will that mean that before hosting a baby shower or a birthday party for your children.. you will first get permission from the Police?? Banange.. Where is Uganda heading?? Are we really moving forward by restricting human rights? Ask any of the Eritreans around town how that has brilliantly worked out for them in Eritrea? Or does Uganda just want to be Another North Korea In Africa?? This so called law is a way of controlling people.. restricting people's right to freedom of living!!. For those that disagree just take a trip to the Horn of Africa and visit a small country called Eritrea!!.. Am sure you will love throwing parties and hosting as many guests as you wish. Right?? The second that piece of trash is passed.. say good bye to the events and parties you had planned.. If only we the citzens of Uganda had a chance in the refusing of this garbage into our fine Constitution!! ...
Al-Shabab The Cowards
Yet again the cowards hit again and shock +254(Kenya) on 21 September 2013 by taking over the WestGate mall and having over a 1000 people hostage. Unfortunately over 68 people were killed and over 175 injured.
These so-called "jihads" are a waste of time. Instead of building one's country, extremist groups like these cowards fight over nothimg and gain nothing. In most cases, they end up dead and capitalised as murderers yet they could have helped their countries out of corruption and other vices and help build it.
These cowards are made to believe that they will get "blessed" after this and rewarded for their "service" through beautiful women and nice beautiful items.. but this is just so freakin ridiculous besides who will reward you postively for killing and harming lives of innocent people moreover little children. From the Kenyan Mall incident, a 4 month old baby was robbed of her mother... now do you think these cowards will be rewarded for what they did.. Am sure the best reward (if they are still alive) is a bullet in their head.
Ironically, they came to Kenya to divide Kenya but 254 instead stood up firmly and UNITED as ONE NATION. These cowards FAILED.. Like they always do. East Africa, Africa and the World at large will never be moved by these cowardly acts of terror and will never stop to neutralise these cowards when they show up.
254 triumphs more now.. these Cowards LOSE!!!
