CRAMMERS BEING MADE!!

It’s time for our Ministry of Education to “wake up” and set our education systemstraight “just saying
Here is a “word of wisdom” from one of the greatest people to ever live in our history…
The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education. Education is a process of wasting half of our life to learn how to waste the remaining half of our life; a single examination cannot determine a student’s ability in a particular subject. If a student scores less, it means that he/she needs more guidance or needs to put in more effort. Making students repeat an academic year because they have flunked the final examination is a wrong practice. A student may not be able to grasp concepts because of the teaching pedagogy and a one-on-one discussion can help identify the weaknesses The Education system should be flexible to allow students to drop a subject if they are not interested in it. Clearly, if a student keeps failing in a particular subject, it implies he has no amplitude or inclination for the same. A multi pronged strategy needs to be in place where all students should receive personalized attention and case specific guidance, flexible systems that are in sync with a student’s interest and abilities can help tap a student’s potential to succeed better. Failing in a subject or an examination is clearly not the end of life, everyone has weaknesses and strengths. It is extremely important that our education system recognizes this”
                     -Albert Einstein
Our system is soooo out-of-date cause if you take a look at the secondary syllabus, students learn a lot of crap that will not even help them in the future... like seriously how will South African history help me yet I don’t even know my own family’s history!! Well these education officials may be saying it’s for general knowledge but how the f*** is that general knowledge!!! If you haven’t yet realized, our country is developing at an alarming rate so in order to nail a good corporate job... Not only your IQ but also your personality skills are considered... Now if most high school students spend countless hours of cramming in order to ace that History paper tomorrow morning, how will he work on his personality or discover his true potential...  In simple words our UGANDAN EDUCATION SYSTEM IS BUILDING A GENERATION OF CRAMMERS NOT THINKERS OF OUTSIDE BUT ALSO INSIDE A BOX!!

How to prepare your smart phone before it's stolen :)

Recently a friend of mine lost her phone during one event here in Kampala.  Her desperate looks in search for her phone were all in vain but I encouraged her to go to the security team and check the footage since cameras are installed at every corner of the building but till now I don’t think she has gotten her phone back and even if she got the footage of the thief… chances are slim that she will be able to track him down.. Anyways this got me thinking about these current smart phones that we own and how we can fully maximize them minus using them for instant messaging and social network interaction… here’s a simple way to track your phone when you misplace it or may be when it is stolen.
1.       Get AVAST mobile security and ANTI-THEFT app onto your phone… You can go to Google play and download it then set it up fully and properly... But I would recommend you not to connect it via Facebook but rather your email because nowadays some people deactivate or forget their passwords and that stuff. This app works great for me. Because you get to put an emergency number rather than your personal number where texts are sent to even when you remove the sim card from that phone. It’s just too good.  It’s available for both Android and Apple smart phones and tablets.
2.       Unfortunately this tip is for Android –based smart phones.
Google has a built-in-service in every android-based phone and tablet that helps to track your phone when it’s stolen, erase all data on it, and also permanently lock it, but it’s not enabled until you manually enable it. Just go to “Settings” > “Location & security” scroll down to “Select device administrators” and click on it… Click on “Android Device Manager” then click on “Activate “ After preferably on a computer or laptop go to www.google.com/android/devicemanager and sign in with your Gmail address that you use to download apps from Google play in on your phone or tablet. After you login, you will see your device name and other details like track, lock, erase, ring etc. which you can use when your device is misplaced or stolen. NB: “ERASE” WILL DELETE ALL THE FILES STORED ON YOUR PHONE MEMORY AND ALL APPS WHILE “LOCK” WILL PERMANENTLY LOCK YOUR PHONE FOREVER!!!
Please note that after you track your phone and get its exact location, CONTACT THE POLICE TO HELP YOU RETRIEVE IT.
SHARE THIS ARTICLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, FR-ENEMIES, ENEMIES, EX, STALKER, LANDLORD, EVERYONE!!!

YOU ARE HELPING TO CHEAT YOURSELF

Recently I came across a very useful
tip. I was surprised to know it but
had a doubt so I talked to one of
the pump technicians and he too
accepted it as a fact. I think apart
from providing space for the gas
generated inside the petrol tank this
is yet another reason why we
shouldn't fill the tank to the brim.
Many of us are not aware that the
petrol kiosk pump has a return pipe-
line (in Pink). When the petrol tank
(in the car) reaches full level, there
is a mechanism to trigger off the
pump latch and at the same time a
return-valve is opened (at the top of
the pump station) to allow excess
petrol to flow back into the pump.
But the return petrol has already
pass through the meter, meaning
you are donating the petrol back to
the Oil Dealer.
Also only fill up your car or truck in
the early morning when the ground
temperature is still cold. Remember
that all service stations have their
storage tanks buried below ground.
The colder the ground the more
dense the petrol, when it gets
warmer petrol expands, so buying in
the afternoon or in the
evening....your liter is not exactly a
liter. In the petroleum business, the
specific gravity and the temperature
of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel,
ethanol and other petroleum
products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a
big deal for this business. But the
service stations do not have
temperature compensation at the
pumps.
When you're filling up do not
squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to
a fast mode If you look you will see
that the trigger has three (3) stages:
low, middle, and high. You should
be pumping on low mode, thereby
minimizing the vapours that are
created while you are pumping. All
hoses at the pump have a vapour
return. If you are pumping on the
fast rate, some of the liquid that
goes to your tank becomes vapour.
Those vapours are being sucked up
and back into the underground
storage tank so you're getting less
worth for your money.
One of the most important tips is to
fill up when your Petrol tank is HALF
FULL. The reason for this is the more
Petrol you have in your tank the less
air occupying its empty space. petrol
evaporates faster than you can
imagine. petrol storage tanks have
an internal floating roof. This roof
serves as zero clearance between the
Petrol and the atmosphere, so it
minimizes the evaporation. Unlike
service stations, here where I work,
every truck that we load is
temperature compensated so that
every litre is actually the exact
amount.
Another reminder, if there is a
petrol truck pumping into the
storage tanks when you stop to buy
Petrol, DO NOT fill up; most likely
the petrol is being stirred up as the
Petrol is being delivered, and you
might pick up some of the dirt that
normally settles on the bottom.
To have an impact, we need to reach
literally millions of Petrol buyers.
It's really simple to do.

LoVe your Neighbour..

Been reading some refugee stories from allover the Horn of Africa.. All these are so very sad.. For instance Eritrea..  Am not talking about their National Service or military training.. but the way Eritreans are treated by fellow Eritreans!!! I mean this is sooooo harsh and very inhumane. I know this is not news to many Eritreans..  but  Its just sad.. for instance.. There was one I read about where a group went through the desert with little food and water.. and were in the desert for around 4 days.. driving day and night.. #nonStOp.. They saw skeletons of people who got stranded in the harsh desert.. I mean it was just horrible.. My point is that not only Eritrean refugees.. but all most all refugees here in Uganda.. are treated  badly by we the Ugandans.. We look down upon them because they are refugees.. and they are in Uganda.. you know taking our food.. money begging and all that stuff.. its really bad and in the eyes of God.. its a sin.. Many of these refugees didnot want to be here where they are in the first place..  they didnot wish for anything close to even what they are going through.. They also had big plans for their future while still in their countries.. just like you and me!  So instead of hating on them and judging them.. Why not help them. It might not necessarily mean giving them finacial aid (because am sure they do not want to be beggers), just love them.. socialize with them.. Learn about their culture, help them with directions around town make friend with them in otherwards!!.. Am sure that is much cheaper than you just tossing them money.. Treat them the same way you would treat your brothers and sisters(not necessarily fight with them like you do with your siblings).. You never know.. you might get a blessing in return from God!

PubliC Management Bill(whatever the name )

Been reading some Eritrean.stories from SIHA about their lives in Eritrea and outside Eritrea.. One artice was about a lady who was arrested with her friends for praying in a house together because it is against the law in Eritrea to host a gthering of morethan three people... which reminded me of the same trash sorry Bill or law that is about to be passed by our own Parliament.. I mean this is just freakin ridiculous.. So will that mean that before hosting a baby shower or a birthday party for your children.. you will first get permission from the Police?? Banange.. Where is Uganda heading?? Are we really moving forward by restricting human rights? Ask any of the Eritreans around town how that has brilliantly worked out for them in Eritrea? Or does Uganda just want to be Another North Korea In Africa?? This so called law is a way of controlling people.. restricting people's right to freedom of living!!. For those that disagree just take a trip to the Horn of Africa and visit a small country called Eritrea!!.. Am sure you will love throwing parties and hosting as many guests as you wish.  Right??  The second that piece of trash is passed.. say good bye to the events and parties you had planned.. If only we the citzens of Uganda had a chance in the refusing of this garbage into our fine Constitution!! ...

Al-Shabab The Cowards

Yet again the cowards hit again and shock +254(Kenya) on 21 September 2013 by taking over the WestGate mall and having over a 1000 people hostage. Unfortunately over 68 people were killed and over 175 injured.
These so-called  "jihads" are a waste of time. Instead of building one's country, extremist groups like these cowards fight over nothimg and gain nothing. In most cases, they end up dead and capitalised as murderers yet they could have helped their countries out of corruption and other vices and help build it.
These cowards are made to believe that they will get "blessed" after this and rewarded for their "service" through beautiful women and nice beautiful items.. but this is just so freakin ridiculous besides who will reward you postively for killing and harming lives of innocent people moreover little children. From the Kenyan Mall incident, a 4 month old baby was robbed of her mother... now do you think these cowards will be rewarded for what they did.. Am sure the best reward (if they are still alive) is a bullet in their head.
Ironically, they came to Kenya to divide Kenya but 254 instead stood up firmly and UNITED as ONE NATION. These cowards FAILED.. Like they always do. East Africa, Africa and the World at large will never be moved by these cowardly acts of terror and will never stop to neutralise these cowards when they show up.
254 triumphs more now.. these Cowards LOSE!!!
